The White House Gender Policy Council

On the eve of their inauguration, President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris made history yet again with the formation of the White House Gender Policy Council, co-chaired by Jennifer Klein and Julissa Reynoso. The Council will support policies in partnership with the Domestic Policy Council, National Economic Council, and the National Security Council that coalesce across issues of economic security, healthcare, racial justice, gender-based violence, and foreign policy. The creation of a Council of this stature is applauded and long overdue, and we are grateful to all of the advocates and leaders who’ve laid the groundwork to get us here. National Crittenton looks forward to supporting the Council’s efforts toward equity for cis and trans girls and gender-expansive young people, specifically those of color, and to ensuring that their leadership, experiences, and perspectives are centered in the Council’s work.
