We Are Not Invisible Transformational Leadership Institute

Over the past year more than a dozen girls and young women have visited Washington, D.C., to meet with policymakers and to share their stories about trauma and healing.  And while the intent is to help girls and young women become their own best advocates, the experience has also resulted in building leadership skills. For example before they speak, the girls and young women are taught how to craft their stories and how to speak before an audience. They also learn about the political process, enjoy opportunities to be interviewed by the media, and meet with adult leaders who are eager to listen to their stories.

In 2012, we plan to formalize leadership training with the launch of the Leadership Training Institute. We are currently seeking partners and allies who would like to contribute their time and other resources to help us shape the curriculum and programs that will fall under the We Are Not Invisible Transformational Leadership  Institute.
